My Client is a renowned designer and manufacturer of automotive components. Operating since the early 1980's they work with businesses around the globe ensuring all of their customers receive the very best experience.

Duties for the role of Supply Chain Co-Ordinator:

  • Timely ordering, expediting, communicating and negotiating with production material suppliers to ensure the needs of the business are met to support on-time
  • Manage operations and forecast data on a day-to-day basis for a defined range of suppliers
  • Interact with internal departments and Sub con suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of product to meet availability and company objectives
  • To achieve 'High Availability' and 'On Time and In Full' figures combined with a continuous improvement environment that challenges current practices in order to drive business and customer service improvement whilst controlling the stock values in line with business objectives where a 'Right First Time' approach is a way of life.
  • Engaging cross-functional teamwork and effective communication to delivering these business goals
  • Total responsibility from the start to end of the Sub-Con process for material supply
  • Provide supplier performance monitoring, identifying and leading improvements for the business

Experience required for the role of Supply Chain Co-Ordinator:

  • Previous experience working in a Supply Chain role within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to address issues proactively
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Able to chase and confirm lead times with sub-contractors effectively
  • Must have a high level of excel knowledge
  • Knowledge of systems to include MRP/ERP
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Good level of analytical skills and the ability to prioritise and build relationships with key contacts
  • High accuracy with good attention to detail and ability to spot errors quickly

Working hours and Benefits package:

  • Basic salary of £23,000 to £26,000 depending on experience
  • Working hours are Mon to Thu 7am - 4pm or 8am - 5pm and Fri 7am -12pm or 8am - 1pm
  • Holidays - 25 days per year plus BH (shutdown over Christmas so 3 days to be held then)
