Operations Manager (Examinations) - Permanent - Salary £34,000 pa - Birmingham (Hybrid working) An Operations Manager (Examinations) role based in Birmingham, working on a hybrid basis and paying £34k per annum provides an opportunity to join a public sector organisation, who prides themselves on making a difference to people's lives, to lead a small team to drive all operational activity for their examinations division. Your new roleAs Operations Manager (Examinations) you will manage a small team to ensure the delivery of a high standard exams registration service that meets the organisations requirements. You will ensure policy, process and protocols are maintained and continuously improved in order to provide the best possible customer service and will be the main point of contact in relation to contractual arrangements, monitoring quality and meeting SLA's for external examination suppliers. You will review and manage complaints, drafting responses accordingly and in line with legislation, which in turn will involve liaising with senior level contacts internally and externally such as the executive management team and MP's. You will provide regular service updates and reports to the senior leadership team and will work with the Head of Service to develop the examinations service further. What you'll need to succeedYour proven experience of leading on customer focused operations and people management ideally gained within a regulatory, education and healthcare environment will lead to your success. You will have the natural ability to motivate and drive the performance of staff within a customer focused environment and will be a natural negotiator who has the ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally at varying levels. You will have proven experience of drafting and developing operational policy, whilst being proficient at preparing reports and papers to a very high standard . You will be well versed in solving problems and will take an analytical and logical approach to the consideration of issues.
