We are currently recruiting for a temp - perm mixing room operative to join an expanding team for the Milton Keynes site. We are looking for someone who is reactive and previously worked in a food environment. The working hours will be 12hours 06.00-18.00 / 18.00-06.00 you will be required to follow a shift pattern of days and nights. Hours 06.00-18.00 / 18.00-06.00 You will need to be able to follow a shift pattern of days and nights Salary Training Salary £27,335.00 per annum Full salary £30,283.00 per annum Job Purpose To work as part of a team of tortilla press operators. To carry out the operation of press machines & associated equipment- dividers, press, proffers, ovens, producing quality Tortilla products that are manufactured within specification and achieving targeted production KPIs. Mix batches of dough , strictly according to mix specification and company standards, scan and record data. Understand mix control, water specifications, tortilla sizes,and shape, vision system for waste Carry out and understand shimming for out of spec sizes and reduce vision waste. Carry out tooling changeovers, platten and belt changes on the press. Carry out cleaning duties and requirements of equipment & machines to a high standard. Maintain a safe working environment , fully complying with legislative requirements and company policies and procedure. Actively promote Health & Safety in your working environment & in all factory areas. Record all process information onto shift paperwork and AX system. Operator data capture and record information for works orders and line stoppages, breakdowns. Duties Run multiple production lines ensuring all lines meet their KPI targets (including wastage and efficiency) and that the team leader is aware if targets are not going to be met. Ensure the smooth production flow of product throughout the process. Actively drive continuous improvement in your work area by following OPS principles. Maintain a consistently high work ethic, allowing optimisation of line speeds at all times. Ensure that all specs and traceability sheets are followed and filled out correctly as you run the product through the processing equipment. Carry out quality checks accordingly to company procedure. Inform the team leader immediately of any issues regarding quality checks, performance to ensure food safety, quality, wastage & efficiency, scanning issues or faults. Responsible for looking after all equipment i.e. making sure at all times all parts of equipment are maintained or reported if broken following company procedure
