Management Accountant - Soho London W1 1/2 days in the office then WFH

We have an exciting opportunity for a hands-on finance manager / management accountant to join a

dynamic digital marketing agency going through an exciting period of growth.

Reporting into the Managing Director, the successful candidate will need to have experience in

managing corporate cashflow, preparing management accounts, company budgets and project

accounting whilst also maintaining the underlying accounting books.

The role is a full-time position, working partially from home and partially (1-2 days per week) from

the Company's main office in Soho, London.

The finance manager will be managing two part time accounts assistant.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Processing

  • Sales ledger
  • Overseeing purchase ledger
  • Overseeing bank management and the weekly payment run
  • HMRC payments

Financial Reporting

  • Weekly cashflow forecast and preparation of payment schedule
  • Posting of monthly journals and preparation of monthly management accounts with

commentary for 3 trading companies and a holding company

  • Preparation of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts

Financial Statements and Corporation Tax

  • Liaising with the external accountants who prepare the statutory accounts and. tax returns.

Project Reporting

  • Working with the account managers / directors to ensure project cost reports are up to

date and you understand the projected income, gross profit and timing of the projects.

  • Analysing time spent by the team on projects

HR and Payroll

  • Preparation of monthly payroll schedule to send to outsourced payroll company
  • Managing auto enrolment company pension scheme (NEST)
  • Processing of payroll payments
  • Liaising with HR consultant to issue employment contracts
  • Overseeing recording and management of staff holiday

ATTRIBUTES

  • Extensive expertise in accounts processing and preparation of management accounts
  • Experience in budgeting, cashflow management and cost control
  • MS Office with strong Excel skills
  • Experience in using the XERO account software preferred, though not essential.
  • Attention to detail, organisational and presentation skills
  • Hands on approach and can-do attitude.
  • Our client is a content marketing and digital commerce agency, that supports global consumer

goods companies in the creation and distribution of digital assets and the creation of

eCommerce strategies and campaigns that deliver consumer engagement and product sales.

  • The Company turns £3.0M+ annually and is substantially profitable, with an EBIDTA of £1.1M

in the last Financial Year.

  • The main office is centrally based on in Soho and Our client also has satellite

offices in Sydney and Beijing and is about to open a back-office outsourced hub in the

Philippines.

The Company has 25 full time staff and employees a further 5-10 people in a

freelance capacity.
