Meningitis Now are looking for a talented and innovative social media and design content creator to join our digital marketing team. You will have excellent design skills, be a driven ideas person with an eye on existing, new and emerging media channels Role: Digital Marketing & Design Officer Hours: 35 hours per week Salary: £22,000 £26,000 (depending on experience) Location: Stroud, Gloucestershire Benefits of becoming our Digital Marketing & Design Officer: 30 days annual leave entitlement per annum (pro rata) plus bank holidays A cash healthcare plan Employer-matched pension contribution (up to 5%) Death in service benefit Long-term service rewards Key responsibilities of our Digital Marketing & Design Officer: Management of our presence on social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other similar community sites, responding to comments and queries Lead creation of all web-based graphics, including download links, infographics and other visual image-based requirements Planning, development and delivery of relevant and engaging content in keeping with the work of the wider charity, supporting key campaigns, fundraising and the Support and Research department Management of social media campaigns and day-to-day activities. Duties include online advocacy, writing editorial, community-outreach efforts, promotions and social advertising What we re looking for in our Digital Marketing & Design Officer: Experience of working in a digital media role Educated to degree level or equivalent in marketing/design, or with demonstrable design expertise and intimate knowledge of Adobe Suite Excellent understanding of new media technologies and applications, including traditional online publishing, social media platforms, social media tools and digital advertising An understanding of SEO and keywords Good understanding of online user experience, usability and accessibility, online publishing standards and technologies Good understanding of the principles of marketing Understanding of how to act and participate on forums / blogs Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with a diverse range of individuals, supporters, event participants, donors and volunteers Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write compelling copy with accuracy and attention to detail Excellent eye for design aesthetics and demonstrable creativity Excellent practical knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite products (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office Experience in setting objectives and meeting targets; excellent organisation and reporting skills including time management and prioritisation Click on apply now to download a full recruitment pack for the role of Digital Marketing & Design Officer from our website!
