My client was founded in 1993 as a value-added distributor of converged IP solutions The portfolio of products supplied includes Broadband, Unified Communications, Security, Wireless LAN and Networking Switch products from leading vendors. These products are backed with a comprehensive range of value-added services including certified training, design, pre- and post-sales support and site survey amongst others.

Targeted primarily at the SME and Enterprise markets, these solutions are supplied to System Integrators, Value Added Resellers, Service Providers, Telcos and Online Resellers.

They are looking to recruit an additional Internal Sales Executive (ISE) to focus on our Unified Communications (UC) business. The role will be part of a small, dedicated team selling the full portfolio to customers and it will be expected that this person also seeks general networking opportunities within their customer base. It will require both a strong pro-active approach and good account management skills.

It will require good experience, acquired in a similar role over a minimum of 3 years, a strong 'can do' approach and alot of enthusiasm, energy and common sense.

The role is based in offices in Theale, Berkshire and might involve occasional travel to customer locations in the UK.

Specific Responsibilities include

Develop new business through pro-actively contacting prospects and engaging at a senior level to sell product proposition.

Actively manage existing accounts to ensure repeat business and develop cross selling opportunities within those companies.

Liaise with internal departments to facilitate the above. This will include Technical Support, Marketing, Operations and Finance.

Resolve customer queries and problems in a satisfactory and timely manner

Support external sales people and colleagues, as required.

Qualification and experience required

1. The experience required for the position will ideally have been gained from working in a technology environment. It will require:

Demonstrable sales ability over a minimum period of 3 years

Well developed communication skills, both written and verbal.

2. The ideal candidate will also have:

Driving ambition to succeed and a desire to be an integral part of a growing organisation.

An outgoing and presentable manner when communicating with customers, suppliers and colleagues.

A strong 'can do' approach.

Ability to take initiative and to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
